El Greco is a first class colt very elegant with wonderful uphill floating movement and extreamly pretty and with some fantastic sports bloodlines. El Greco’s sire Singing Horatio was the first English bred colt for seven years and out of Arentinos first crop of English foals. Horatio is a super stallion with wonderful movements and a brilliant character. He is a really fun horse to be around always making the staff laugh. He was sold to Keatinge Trakehners and has started a very promising eventing career. Horatio’s Sire Arentino was competed in Prix St. George dressage and did also really well in show jumping. Arentino’s sire Santiago by Wie Ibikus and out of the foundation mare Schwalbelied was Champion of his grading in 1980 and was a very substantial big framed grandson of the legendary stallion Ibikus, which went on to become a very good show jumper. Wie Ibikus himself produced a big number of high successful dressage horses competing up to Grand Prix. Santiago produced some outstanding broodmares and the value can be seen in his offspring’s competition results. Arentino’s dam Arktis II presents herself as one of the valuable broodmares of the trakehner breed, being a full sister to the stallion Arogno, sire of the stallions Schwadroneur (now dead) and Anky’s stallion Partout. Arktis’s offspring are doing well in 3-day eventing and dressage competing in Prix St. Georges. Horatio is out of Hawaii, which is by the trakehner stallion Pascal (now dead). He was a very noble and very impressive grandson of Donauwind – a real gentleman. Pascal was champion of his performance test and performed in his younger years with high success in show jumping and three-day-event on a national level. He always passed on his kind and willing character and his off spring are well known for being easy to train and ride. His mother line is known as one of the most proven families within the trakehner bred and produced the international dressage stars TNC Partout and the Olympic dressage stallion Peron. He himself was nearly a full brother to Anky Von Grunsven’s Grand Prix dressage stallion TNC Partout. Hawaii’s Dam Herzblatt was for many years well known, as one of the highest quality mares of the whole breed, becoming champion mare of the German trakehners Bundesschau. Herzblatt also got a 10 for movement and produced the graded son Heinrich der Love, who became a top class show jumper. Herzblatt’s dam Elite mare Herzchen produced Herzruf a leading Sire of top broodmares and high talented dressage horses. Her 2nd graded son Hirtenruf became Reserve Champion of his grading. Herzchen has produced many Champion mares and graded sons with very high marks for movement and confirmation. Herzblatt’s Sire Seeadler is very famous for stamping his off spring and high quality producing daughters, as for exsample Regatta, dam of Monica Theodorescu’s International dressage star and Olympic hope Renaissance Fleur TSF. El Greco’s dam Elischa is the last daughter of Elite Champion stallion Mackensen and was imported in uterus. Her sire was awarded Elite as the first of all Trakehner stallions. He has got an outstanding reputation as successful sire of dressage horses up to the highest level, among them dressage star Charley Chaplin, who today together with his son Polarzauber keeps the line and the successful performance story alive. Elischa represents the middle sized type of the Trakehner broodmare, with good frame, strong correct legs and floating, always elastic movements, which was shown when she was reserve champion foal in 2002. At her grading Elischa was awarded a premium and this showed what wonderful quality her dam Elistra is breeding, as Elischa was her first foal. We strongly believe in this broodmare family’s breeding qualities and first class genes, which combine some of the most proven and successful performance bloodlines in the world. Elischa dam Elistra is by the world famous performance sire Hockey who is the granddad to Biotop and a father of many top competition horses such as Almox Prints who twice took part in the Olympic of Seoul and Barcelona and became international successful in Grand Prix Show jumping. Also the son’s Chochot, Podchod and Saporoshez became dressage champions of the whole of Russia in 1990,1992 and 1993. Hockey himself was successfully competed in dressage up to Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire to be one of the most successful, popular and proven sires of competition horses in Russia. He stood at the State stud in Kirow, as a Senior Stallion. Elistra’s dam was awarded a Premium at her grading and 3 of her son’s are already competing up to advanced level (1999). Her family already in East - Prussia was one of the highest quality bloodlines and produced in Germany the Elite stallion Erlkonig, Enim Pascha the Grand Prix dressage stallion and the sires Herodes and Ortelsburg, whom also became important in the Hannoverian breed. Elischa together with her mum Elistra keeps the narrow but very valuable mare family of Eichel alive. The old bloodline stood in 2004 and 2005 with the Supreme Champion mares Evita, Evviva and in 2005 with the young stallion Easy Game as strong hopes for the future in the centre of the breed. El Greco has shown that he should be able to go very far in sport, should he be lucky enough to get a good rider. |
